Sorry for posting off-topic. I just read Plaw's post and the quoted words of DJ. I think there is no contradiction in what both of them say. The new tax rate is less favorable to rich compared to the previous rate, but still more favorable than that of the poor. It means that it was a step in the right direction, but not enough. Disclaimer: I have no idea about the actual tax rates, my reply is based solely on Plaw's post. And I am not good at math
