What I don't understand though, is why after Geoff corrected Vito, anybody/everybody else had jump on board and make it a lynching.

After Vito was corrected he said he was sorry and was trying to say that he wasn't trying to be rude. He was just explaining himself. That is the way I understand each of his posts. Why does it take another two moderators and other posters to brow beat him?
