The only association I have with the river Tyne is Sting, who apparently was born in Newcastle upon Tyne.... :p

I just finished reading your short story Mick. It was great. Did you feel the same way about your home-town before you travel to other places as well? It is interesting to me if you felt that way before you did, because just like the first girl I wouldn't have if I had never left.

And yeah, don't bother coming to Tyneside. Hills, moores, nothing we've not seen before, really. (Really, though, it's a busy place. Newcastle is a bustling city, and the nightlife is briliant.) :p
