Well, Phillipe I'm sure won't be Two Face. Dont know why, but its a good guess.
After reading about Jamie Foxx's bullshit while making MIAMI VICE, he isn't worth it. Let him crash to Earth, and get out of that diva mindset nonsense.
Actually, if I was Nolan, out of the three, I would go with the unknown.
Besides, he would be a hell lot cheaper than Foxx or Norton.

Katie's Knight Off?January 25, 2007 - One of the many casting questions that's been looming for The Dark Knight is whether or not Katie Holmes would be reprising her role as Bruce Wayne's love interest Rachel Dawes in the sequel to Batman Begins. Holmes has come under fire for her tabloid-attracting relationship with Tom Cruise ever since Batman Begins premiered in 2005. Now the rumor is that Holmes is out, but that her assistant D.A. character will still be in The Dark Knight, according to LatinoReview.com... meaning the role will be recast. Many critics cited Holmes as being the weakest cast member in Begins. The site also claims that Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot will not be in the sequel. As for Harvey Dent, Latino Review says it has also heard that Jamie Foxx and Edward Norton are being considered for the role, and that Josh Lucas has indeed met with the filmmakers about the part. Interestingly enough, Latino Review adds that Heath "The Joker" Ledger's Brothers Grimm co-star Matt Damon was offered the role of Harvey Dent but passed. Source: IGN Filmforce

McAdams Taking Knight Job?January 29, 2007 - With Katie Holmes now confirmed as not returning for The Dark Knight, and production set to begin in March, the search is on for a new actress to take over the role of Asst. D.A. (and Bruce Wayne's love interest) Rachel Dawes. The rumor mill strongly suggests that the replacement will be Canadian actress Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, The Wedding Crashers). McAdams was rumored for the role a few months back, but now Batman-on-Film.com reports that her name has resurfaced once again. The role of Rachel in the sequel, according to DarkHorizons.com, "will be very small, amounting to a few scenes at most." McAdams has been rumored for different superhero films in the past, including Iron Man and Superman Returns. She starred opposite the Scarecrow himself, Cillian Murphy, in Wes Craven's Red Eye. Phillippe Talks Two-FaceFebruary 2, 2007 - One of the rumored contenders for the role of D.A. Harvey Dent (the man who will become Two-Face) in The Dark Knight is Ryan Phillippe. IGN spoke one-on-one with Ryan Phillippe today during the press junket for his new movie Breach. When asked about the Dent rumors in the past, Phillippe had always stressed that there wasn't a script ready yet for him to see in order to consider the role. Now that the script is finished and filming is slated to begin next month, have there been any overtures made to Phillippe about playing the part? "I think they may have talked at different times to my representation, but no decision has been made. It would be fun." When asked if he was shutting the door on that possibility, he replied "no." It is possible, however, that Phillippe is no longer being seriously considered for the role. According to LatinoReview.com, Aaron Eckhart (The Black Dahlia, Thank You For Smoking) is "the leading contender for Harvey Dent." (Ironically, Eckhart starred in The Missing opposite Tommy Lee Jones, who played Two-Face in Batman Forever.) The site adds that it has also heard that Maggie Gyllenhaal (World Trade Center, Stranger Than Fiction) is in the running to replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes, the asst. D.A. who is Bruce Wayne's love interest. Source: IGN

Will Jaime Foxx Play Harvey Dent?February 6, 2007 - As The Dark Knight inches closer to principal photography, the rumor mill has been working overtime trying to figure out who will play Harvey Dent in the sequel to Batman Begins. Dent, as any good Bat-fan will tell you, is the handsome, young Gotham City district attorney who begins as Batman's ally only to tragically become the scarred villain Two-Face. Whomever plays Dent in The Dark Knight will be expected to reprise the role -- and also don the Two-Face makeup -- in the inevitable third film. There have been many rumored candidates in the last year. One reported contender has been mentioned by several (and reliable) sources: Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. The multihyphenate Foxx has been linked to the role for over a month now. IGN was able to navigate its way through the network of reps and flacks who collect around a star of Foxx's magnitude to get an answer on whether or not the Bat-rumor is true. "No truth to it whatsoever," according to Foxx's publicist Alan Neirob, whom you may recall also served as Mel Gibson's spokesperson during his trouble last summer. IGN has also investigated the rumor that Aaron Eckhart is now the frontrunner to win the role of Dent, but CAA has so far declined to comment on the matter. Source: IGN

Dark Knight UpdateFebruary 9, 2007 - The Dark Knight is now just weeks away from principal photography and several key supporting roles remain uncast. IGN has investigated the buzz and has come away with some surprising results. Reliable sources have advised IGN that Emily Blunt is not in the running to replace Katie Holmes as Bruce Wayne's love interest Rachel Dawes. We did learn, however, that the rumor about Maggie Gyllenhaal playing the role might be closer to the truth. We have also learned that Aaron Eckhart is indeed in the mix to play Harvey Dent, Rachel Dawes' boss at the district attorney's office and the man who will one day become Two-Face. Sources indicated that both Eckhart and Gyllenhaal are at different points of negotiating for their respective roles -- things are "coming together" we were told -- and that it is "definitely possible" that they will end up playing those roles. Still, it must be stressed that no deals have been closed so they don't have the roles yet. (A contributor for Batman-on-Film.com claims to have encountered Eckhart at an L.A. event and asked him about playing Dent, to which he replied, "We'll see.") IGN has also looked into Morgan Freeman's status on The Dark Knight. The Oscar winner is poised to star in another comic book film adaptation, Wanted, which the Czech Film Commission says begins filming in the Czech Republic in April for 12 weeks. While it remains entirely possible that Freeman could film a few days on Dark Knight before or during Wanted, Freeman's reps at the William Morris Agency advised IGN today, "Nothing's been consummated." If Freeman is unable to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne's gadget-master Lucius Fox, it is unclear whether or not the role would be recast or rewritten as a new character. Source: IGN

Maggie Set for Dark KnightFebruary 14, 2007 - Ever since Katie Holmes was confirmed as a no-show for The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, the rumor mill has been working overtime on who would replace her as Asst. D.A. Rachel Dawes, Bruce Wayne's childhood friend-turned-love interest. While Emily Blunt and Rachel McAdams have been rumored, Latino Review reports that Maggie Gyllenhaal has been cast as the new Rachel. The site was the first to name Gyllenhaal, 28, as a leading contender for the role some weeks back. IGN contacted Gyllenhaal's reps at CAA today who advised us flatly, "We have no comment or denial on that." If she is indeed cast in Dark Knight then Maggie would be starring opposite her brother Jake Gyllenhaal's Brokeback Mountain co-star Heath Ledger, who plays The Joker. Source: IGN

Two-Face Found!Well, it's official: after much speculation (so very, very much speculation), the character of D.A. Harvey Dent has been cast in the upcoming BATMAN sequel THE DARK KNIGHT. As has been rumored (along with just about any actor with at least half a face), Aaron Eckhart will indeed be bringing his charm and heroic jaw to Christopher Nolan's follow-up film, joining Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, Heath Ledger's Joker, Gary Oldman's Jim Gordon, and (theoretically) Maggie Gyllenhaal's Rachel Something. For those unaware, Dent is a friend of Bruce Wayne and ultimately becomes the villain Two-Face, whose visage is half-covered by a horrific scar that also causes some serious personality issues and dating difficulties. BTW, Aaron Eckhart has been announced as TWO FACE. Tremendous actor. He'll make a great Two Face, although I feel he would've made a superb Joker... Maybe even a Mad Hatter.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

Montoya in Batman?Besides the returning characters (like Alfred, Jim Gordon and probably Bruce Wayne), we know some of the new faces in Christopher Nolan's BATMAN follow-up THE DARK KNIGHT will include the Joker and Harvey Dent, the future Two-Face. But who else might we see from The Bat's print or 'toon past? How about Gotham City police officer Renee Montoya? Fans of the exemplary BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES will recall Montoya as the lovely Latino lady partnered with cantankerous detective Harvey Bullock. The character also appears in recent DC Comics, but with a delicious twist of lesbian, hey! According to the weekly comic column Lying in the Gutters, auditions for the character are currently taking place. And while Montoya's face-time in the finished flick is unknown, Gutter's writer Rich Johnston is usually on target in regards to all things comic-related. Source: JoBlo
