Normally I wouldn't post such security threats, but this one is serious: SIMPLY VIEWING AN INFECTED IMAGE COULD GIVE AN ATTACKER COMPLETE CONTROL OF YOUR SYSTEM!

Not only does this include images found in email, but these images could be displayed on a web site and just viewing them can infect you!

If you have Windows XP or 2000, please use Windows Update -- it's a good idea to set Windows Update to install patches automatically. If that's how yours is set up, you probably got the update already. If not, you'll want to install the patch manually from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS06-001.mspx

I remember a year or two back I was looking up images on Google and viewing the image actually spawned a browser hijack of IE, causes a mess of pop ups and Spyware.

Back then it was only porn images. :p

According to the FAQ on the MS link, 98 & ME contain the affected component, but the vulnerability is not "critical" at this point so there's no download at this point...
