So we agree... in that case, join me in the next logical step. US Elections are fuelled by lobbyist's dollars; government policy is shaped by the dollar; the invasion of Iraq was for money in the form of oil and contracts. In other words, it was not a holy crusade or a moral war, but an exercise in capitalist expansion!

in the sense that profit is not a valid motive for war (not against capitalism per se before I get accused of being a communist!!)

only country in Iraq ... its about the reasons behind the war, not the participants in it. It is sufficient that the US was
one of the countries involved: indeed, it was the country most heavily involved.
