US Elections are fuelled by lobbyist's dollars; government policy is shaped by the dollar; the invasion of Iraq was for money in the form of oil and contracts. In other words, it was not a holy crusade or a moral war, but an exercise in capitalist expansion!
my argument does not hinge on the US being the only country in Iraq ... its about the reasons behind the war, not the participants in it. It is sufficient that the US was one of the countries involved: indeed, it was the country most heavily involved. [/QB]
