Two years away before the mess that is the presidential primaries for both parties will occur up in Iowa and New Hampshire, but for now lets enjoy an early primary and see what support among the supposed candidates for the Republican Party's nomination there is here at BB.Net. Remember, one vote and I would dig to hear your thoughts as to...well, why? I've simplified this ballot to the major figures that have been given the talk so far:

Rudolph Giuliani - Associate Deputy Attorney General and chief of staff to the Deputy Attorney General(1975-1977), Associate Attorney General(1981-1983), U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York(1983-1989), Mayor of New York City(1993-2001)

John McCain - U.S. Military-decorated hero for 5 years of P.O.W. captivity during American-Vietnam War, U.S. Congress(1983-1987), U.S. Senator, Arizona(1987-present), 2000 U.S. Presidential candidate for GOP nomination.

George Allen - Virginia House of Delegates(1983-1991), U.S. Congress(1991-1993), Governor of Virginia(1994-1998), U.S. Senator, Virginia(2001-present)

Funny Partagas, I actually had left Brownback off the ballot, because of the lack of steam he's gotten lately.....me and my assumptions! Anyway, thanks for the vote Parta.

My vote - John McCain

I am slightly biased, since I did support his campaign back in 2000, and was quite crushed when the Dubya beat him. To this day, I think McCain would have been a better President than Dubya, but oh well.

Anyway, I'll do a similar primary poll for the Democratic Party in a few days.

Well, this is who you would vote for. None of that "most likely" garbage. If you want Brownback or Pataki or whatever for the GOP nomination, then vote for him. Thats what I did with McCain.

As for the voting, everyone is eligible, as with the Democratic poll in a few days.

I voted for Chuck Hagel because he's from my state of Nebraska


But to be serious he & I are quite alike when it comes to issues. Yeah he & I do differ on some(like his support for the worthless U.N) but that's to be expected with all politicians.


Although I do know no way would I support John McCain, or Rudy Giuliani. As for Condoleezza Rice I just don't think this nation is ready for a female president, let alone a black female president.

Don't misunderstand me though I'm not trying to sound racist. Heck I might vote for her depending on her views on some issues important to me.

I'd like Condoleeza Rice as my first choice, followed by Giuliani and Romney.

Not that I will be voting in the USA anywhere in the near future, but I am still going to participate in this poll.

My problem is, I don't know all candidates.
So who is the most leftwing of them? :p

Giuliani's as liberal as they get. I could live with him if I really had to.
