I tried the link, and it seems harmless - they just seem to want your SSN - but maybe you're right, so I took it out.
You should also NEVER click on links like this, especially from these phishing scams, because they could lead to sites with applet/java loaders that will give you a trojan, or they could attempt to get into your PC and such through port attacks.
