I don't know for other languages, but english is really easier to learn then french. There are a lot more irregular forms to learn in french then in english. I can imagine Dutch is harder to learn ...

dutch vocabulary isn't really hard to learn as long as you speak english. When I was at school, I used to say english words with a dutch accent when I didn't know the right form. It was kinda working until the day the teacher understood my plan when I said "holydag" in place of vacantie...
