Glad you liked them! I'm almost ashamed that those guys entertain me so much, but they really are funny. I also like this clip of them singing with Cher. hahah, I've never seen that. You say you're almost ashamed to say those guys entertain you... how do you think Cher feels now? Actually, I like her a tiny bit now for doing that video.

If Cher sings with Beavis and Butthead...you've got to respect her. It's so funny the way they sing it, too. I don't think I'll hear that song the same way again. Nah-na, nah-na... Here is a video reenactment of Goodfellas by a YouTuber - very nice, simply for putting that whole scene together!

Wow, I forgot about this. On Groundhog's Day 1979, rock personality Sid Vicious overdosed on heroin. Notice that I didn't call him "rock star." I did that on purpose because despite his infamy and closely-linked association with the highly influential Sex Pistols, he...didn't do shit. Based on accounts, he couldn't sing. Worse, he wasn't even able to play 3-chords on the guitar(which is like playing basketball, but unable to walk and dribble the ball). Never the less, he did produce ONE cool thing. While he couldn't sing to save his life or that chick he murdered, the attitude and the dictated prophecy of his own demise in his legendary cover version of "My Way" gave it an edge and spirit that surpass versions recorded by Sinatra and Elvis. Hell, Scorsese used it for the ending of GOODFELLAS. That alone means the song is great...or should at least. Sid Vicious' MY WAY

The Colbert Nation has dubbed it Viacommunism.
Ronnie, it's really sad. Anything Colbert related is gone.
There's no DVD or anything for sale that offers video of the Report or Daily Show episodes - it's not like we could be buying what they're taking off YouTube. And they're even deleting fanvids that people have made. Strangers With Candy videos were removed...there are DVDs for that, but some Exit 57 (old sketch show with Colbert) clips are also gone, and I don't think those are for sale.
I know there is much more to this legally that I definitely don't understand, so I'm sure they technically have a case...but I don't really see why it should be such a big deal. As you said, people are still watching and promoting the shows. The only way it might be diverting interest from Viacom is by YouTube getting more publicity for its sponsors, I guess? It's just diehard fans that love Colbert on TV and want even more of him on YouTube, and now they can't have that.
I read some at the Colboard where people mentioned the Purge of '06, so this has apparently happened before - I guess the Nation will recover.
But Viacom is definitely more dangerous than the Bears - no offense, character Stephen.

That was funny. I like the GF reference. I'm waiting for him to quote Hagen's "Can't do it Sally" but instead he just shakes his head no. I love the look on his face. You know he's prolly seen the movie AT LEAST a few times if he's quoting it. EDIT-He has another one on the mob w/ different material that I can't find.

Ever since somebody got me interested in Led Zeppelin, I've been in heaven. I feel like I never really knew music until now, and I'm truly ashamed that it took me so long to catch on...but I'm grateful to know the magic and spirit of Zep now. This is coming from someone who mainly listened only to stuff like oldies, jazz, and big band. I'm a stubborn fool, so I always stuck with that same stuff and never tried anything else. Sad, I know. But LZ has lit my fire. Jimmy Page has sent me into a state of guitar mania, so I decided to put together some videos for YouTube of the "Greatest Guitar Solos." The list I used is from here: http://guitar.about.com/library/bl100greatest.htmAnd they were voted by readers of Guitar World magazine, so don't blame me if you don't like the ranking. It's been a lot of fun working through the songs, and they are incredible. Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy hearing the works all together, so here's what I've done so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKP5AEZNDEohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL6Wax6a4qAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyK76h4r-TI
