Back in 1982 I was walking down Seventh Avenue (in Manhattan) noticing the large Winnebagos (used as dressing rooms for movie stars) parked near the curb. All of a sudden Robert DeNiro came walking out of one, stepping right in front of me. I'm usually very casual when seeing famous stars, but I went over to him, stuck out my hand and said, "I thought you were great in 'The Deerhunter'". He shook my hand, said, "Thank you very much", as he gave me one of the most intense looks I've ever received. I was awe-struck. (They were filming "The King of Comedy").
