What I really dig now, with the insane growth of the website youtube.com, is that more people have become embolden in posting videos of copyrighted films/television, and using sneaky tricks in order to keep the website mods from taking it down.

No need to present Martin Scorsese, arguably the best director still living and working. Right?

Anyway, some cool stuff I found of Scorsese's that I'm sure his fans, among my fellow film buffs, would dig to watch without having to pay or have to salvage for them.

"Mirror, Mirror" - AMAZING STORIES, 1985

A few of you might remember AMAZING STORIES, or Steven Spielberg's attempt at creating his own TWILIGHT ZONE in the 1980s. It lasted only 2 seasons, but amidst the whimsical episodes you would find from any Spielberg product, you get some nice gems, such as this.

The best promising idea of this program was that established Hollywood directors would get a "chance" of exploring other genres that they had previously haven't had the opportunity. In this case, Martin Scorsese directs a horror-genre episode that evokes Hitchcock and certainly some fetishes of his professional friend of the time, Brian DePalma.

"Mirror, Mirror" features a horror novelist(Sam Waterson), who isn't afraid of monsters or ghosts or whatever nonsense he puts in his books. That changes when he starts seeing a mysteriosly disfigured creature(Tim Robbins) in the reflection of the mirrors within his house. Each glimpse shows this monster getting closer to him, and as things get worse....what happens if this phantom catches him?

Anyway, the episode is broken up into 3 parts, so check out part 1, and go from there within that link.

AMERICAN EXPRESS commercial - "One Hour Photo" , Post-2000.

Very humorous commercial with Scorsese having a laugh at his own autuer directorial, perfectionist persona.

"Life Lessons" - NEW YORK STORIES, 1989

New York City-native filmmakers Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, and Woody Allen each give short films to this anthology movie. Scorsese's pretty damn good "Life Lessons," which opens the film. Starring Nick Nolte, Rosanna Arquette, and Steve Buschemi.

THE BIG SHAVE , 1967.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Very early, but excellent, short film from Scorsese in 1967.

CASINO "Outtake" , 1995

No idea if this is legit or not(doubtful), but its worth a look. "This outtake features an alternate reading by De Niro. He claims it was his homage to Alan Parker's BUGSY MALONE."

[NOTE: Parker's BUGSY MALONE apparently was a gangster movie played by kids, except made in a serious tone. No really.]

"Michael Jackson\'s BAD" - Music Video, 1987

Before the children. Before the Neverland Ranch. Before Bubbles the Chimp. Michael Jackson was the biggest recording artist in the world. Somehow, he got Scorsese to direct the music video for his hit single "Bad". Notice a younger Wesley Snipes.

Hope you all enjoy!
