All I know was, considering the talent that Stone can be as a director, to call his WORLD TRADE CENTER a cinematic disapointment is an understatement. Really, he's not even the innovative ass-kicking filmmaker with a take on 9/11, for Paul Greengrass took that title and ran for the touchdown with UNITED 93.
Funny enough, I had heard that in his effort to get back into the good graces of Hollywood after the super-debacle of ALEXANDER, he's doing more studio fare, which I don't blame him. Money is good. But yeah, hes trying to push a romantic comedy now. I shit you not!
But hey, at least Stone is still working, and not blackballed permanently from Hollywood, like Michael Cimino was after HEAVEN'S GATE.
P.S. - Stone is getting a 3rd shot at re-editing ALEXANDER, now to a 220+ minute edit. Could he turn an interesting failure of a mess into a workable film? Stay Tuned!

Wow, DJ conceeded....you know, you're cutting and running! You're allowing the terrorists to win! :p Besides, Stone was a pretty good director before his career went to hell. Hell, NIXON is pretty damn underrated, and probably his best-made movie.
