The movie or the book was good?
And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

I'm on Chapter 11 of the book version "The Last Don" and I must say, I thoroughly enjoy this book! Its kinda weird when you read a book before seeing its film adaptation because you already have an idea what it will look like. Once I'm finished with the book, which shouldn't be long, I'm going to order the Last Don 1&2 and see how it fairs with the book. Cross De Lena is the man!

What would you recomend read the Book/s first or watch the Movie first ?
Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers........Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life.

I read the book first. I'd say just go ahead and do that. I thought that the films were really good, though. I was not disappointed.

I would recommand the film over the book. For some reason, the book doesn't flow as gracefully Evert part of the Last Don Part 2 wasn't in the book. The book ends where the first film ends.

I wouldn't say it was "incomplete", I mean the first film was the entire Novel. Therefore in theory the second film could have just as well been another novel.
I don't know who did the screen play, but I do think that the Last Don part 2 was really good. I read and heard bad reviews about it, but I liked it alot.
