That could be why... although the so-called trilogy apparently has very little ties between them. And I can understand why The Family got criticism for Carol finishing it, even if she had been with him for 20 odd years. Just being around someone doesn't give you insight into their mind. Either way, I suppose it isn't going to change. My real question is just how much Carol wrote of that book - seeing as it was released two years after his death, she could have very easily written most of it and used his name. So, I suppose, Omerta could be referred to as Puzo's last novel depending on how much of it was written by her. Anyone know?
