I think you should read. Surely it's not the best Puzo novel and it's not much longer...anyway, the characters are pretty good and you'll find a very well descripted background, in New York as in Sicily.

omerta and the sicilian are the only books of puzo ,that i have a passion, the sicilian book is more beutyfull than the movie.you most to read that.

IMO, all of Puzo's post-Godfather novels were nowhere near as good as GF. In fact, if I had to do it over, I wouldn't have read any of them after GF.

I actually love The Sicilian. I think he captures the essence of Sicily and its people so well in it.

I have read a little of The Sicilian. It is a good book from what I read. I like the book "The Fortunate Pilgrim".

Just because the movie The Sicilian sucked doesn't mean the book will. It's an excellent book.

The Sicilian and Omerta are both good books. Read them both.

THE LAST DON was a great story. Puzo just went a litlle overboard on the Hollywood bullshit (as usual). It just about ruined it for me.

I have read almost all of Puzo's books and I have enjoyed them all. I'd reccomend any of them to anyone. My favorite (besides The Godfather) is probably The Sicilian.
