Man I love that movie. I realize it's largely dramatized from Pistone's book but as movies go, it was brilliant. Pacino and Depp got royally screwed out of Oscar nominations for their performances. It's such a contrast to the GF films as it really digs into the street hood aspect of the Mafia. I love the scene of Al slouching in his ratty old easy chair in his crummy apartment, wearing a tight jogging suit and watching Naional Geographic or something. It's quite a juxtaposition of the scene in GFII when he's sitting upright in his stately throne-like chair, wearing a suit, his hair slicked back, listening to Connie's pleas to forgive Fredo, her kissing his hand ...
