It is also very slow to start off with and the phone ringing is very annoying but once it gets into the story, maybe 30 minutes, it gets alot better and makes good viewing. To me it's also one of those films I can watch only once or twice. I've seen it twice in the last two years and I don't plan on watching it for a good while yet, it is very long. By the way, anyone notice the young girl in it, the dancer is now the women in 'A Beautiful Mind'? It was killing me for ages where I recognised that woman then I checked IMDB.com. I'm not sure but she could have also been the girl in Laborynth too with David Bowie. I loved that film as a kid.

I agree with Turi, I only saw it once and thought it was alright, I'd watch it again but not any time soon.

Originally posted by Noodles: (it has to be Brooklyn, for when the old Noodles returns to the neighborhood, you see the Manhattan skyline. Although the back of the case says Lower East Side, but whatever). Its been awhile since I've watched the movie, but its quite possible that it was filmed on location on the lower East side. There are parts of that area (around the bridges) from which the midtown and downtown skylines seem distant.
