If you can get a hold of it take a look at
the full version of Once Upon A Time in America.

Starring De Niro, James Woods, Elizabeth McGovern
and Joe Pesci it is about Jewish gangsters in
New York - set in the twenties, thirties and
late sixties.

Be warned that only the full version - which is around 4hrs long, is the one to see. There are various TV versions, which are pretty appalling.
They try and tell the story chronologically,
rather than using flashback and cut scenes that
were not to the censor's taste.
