I saw the trailer clip couple of days ago. It does not seem very exciting, that's maybe because they didn't make it exciting as the movie will be. We will have to wait and see ps. If u haven't seen the trailer, you can download it here; http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1804892925&cf=trailer

Martin Scorsese, is IMO the best Mob director ever and in Roger Ebert's opinion, the finest American filmmaker ever.
Lenardo DiCaprio is also the lead actor and unlike others, I am not automatically biased against him for his work on Titanic (very good movie btw). I have a strange feeling he'll give us an Oscar worthy performance.

King of Comedy is a great film. Another great Scorsese film is After Hours. No Mafia in either film but both are great film's.

I can't wait. If it lives up to expectations, it should be one of the best American films of recent years.

So instead they decided to stick it in the winter season, which in turn also gives it a better chance for an Oscar run. Scorcose also asked for a 100,000 dollar church to be made specifically for the movie and that slowed things down a bit as well. Your theory should be correct, none of the delays show that the movie has been delayed because of it's poor quality.

Just an FYI: I just saw Leo on an interview about Gangs of New York. He said that it was filmed entirely on location in Italy! I didn't know that. He said they had a set made to look like 1863 N.Y. He went on to say that the film is about the "origin" of gangs. TIS

Been looking forward for this film for 2 odd years De Niro was supposed to do the Daniel Day Lewis part but didn't wanna be away from his family or summat, filming in Italy.
I seen the trailer and read shit about it. They say the fight scenes are class.
