Or how about when Stacks gets it in goodfellas? it wasn't that bad, but his blood sprayed everywhere and he like dived in it. not that bad by today's standards, but still a bit graphic

When Mikey gets killed at the beginning of Beverly Hills Cop. I guess because I didn't see it coming and he was such a pitiful character.
Last of the Mohicans. The film is quite a reminder of how living was historicaly brutal. Many violent scenes in that one. I think any violence that portrays historical or real violence is more chilling than dramatic violence because suspension of disbelief is almost automatic.

Original posted by Pherdy: Mr White (Michael Mandsen) cutting the policeman's ear off in Reservoir Dogs. Especially the soundtrack on the background makes this scene memorable, and personally I think that shows the brutality and insanity of Mr.White even more Michael Madsen's character in Reservoir Dogs was Mr. Blonde, Harvey Keitel played Mr. White.

You're the first on many forums to say something. About my post, I guess The Last of the Mohicans is not a scene, but I meant to say that there are several scenes in it that are brutal but extremely believable.

Ichi The Killer was pretty violent even my censored Hong Kong imported VCD was bloody. i still havne't seen it yet. lol
but one of the most memorable violent scene was when Beat Takeshi tore a chopstick, plucked it up this guy's nose and then smash the chopstick up the guy's nose. and then, all u see is red. that was "Brother".

The worst for me, having thought about it for a while, is the clobbering scene in Misery. Our dear James Caan screams so painfully the poor guy must have just wanted to die. Sends shivers up my spine.

Look up a movie called "Irreversible" on http://www.imdb.com Maybe download the "Fire Exstinguisher" scene if you can off kazaa... but its gruesome.. Not recommended for the faint hearted.. for ganster movies: Most gruesome on film: The murder of Sonny or Ralphie. Most violent but imagined: Chainsaw in Scarface

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but the most violent scene I saw was probably in Reservoir Dogs when Mr.Blonde cut off the cops ear. You didn't really see him do it but the effect it had on me was better than if I saw it. Just picturing how it felt and they showed what was left of his ear. CREEPY!

even though i havent seen scarface i'm gonna have to go with the chainsaw scene.getting cut apart w/ a chainsaw...... ow id be wishing i was dead long before it happened. also the end of casino SPOILER WARNING when nicky and dominick are getting whacked with the bats.... i've never beat anyone with a baseball bat before,so i'm not exactally an expert in this field, but would it really make that sound? the metalic ping. my guess would be a deep thud
