This may sound like a dumb question, but does HBO have it's own channel in the US?

If so, does anyone in the U.K know how we can get the HBO channel over here? Do SKY offer it as a subscription package?

It sounds as if they produce a lot of excellent movie based shows.

Hi Paultot

I have the sky package and though they run HBO shows (like Sopranos on E4) I haven't seen or heard of being able to subscribe to an exclusive HBO channel.
Maybe you can on cable, but I haven't seen it anywhere

Yup. In fact, digital cable subscribers (and I'd imagine satellite subscribers) have access to 7 HBO channels. This is what I get on Comcast Cable:

HBO (East & West Coast feeds)
HBO2 (East & West)
HBO Signature (women's programming)(East & West)
HBO Family (East & West)
HBO Comedy
HBO Zone ("hip" urban programming)
HBO Latino (in Spanish)(East & West)

It's like 12 channels total - and still never anything to watch

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Thanks guys

I have always loved movies, but buying a DVD player (& GF trilogy on DVD!!) has ignited the passion even more.

HBO seem to have 'making of docs' on lots of DVD's (region 2 anyway).
