Is he going to stay on the Sopranos forever? He's gotta make the transition to movies at some point in his career...

Discuss.

He has done movies as well as written scripts for Summer of Sam and The Sopranos.

Well, I know he's done movies, but he's never been a lead actor in a good movie. The Sopranos are great, but I'd like to see Imperioli do something else as well.

A couple of years ago, he gave interviews saying he wanted to give up acting in "Sopranos" and concentrate on writing. It's interesting that he carried his interest in writing to his Christopher character--until Tony told him that he could either quit Mob life and write, or quit writing and concentrate on Mob life.

He currently has an off Broadway play house named "Studio Dante" on West 29th street where he writes and directs plays. Many of the Soprano actors/actresses have acted in some of his plays at Studio Dante. I believe that his true love is writing and directing.

This is pretty weird. I was just watching the Sopranos Third Season and the episode where Christopher and Paulie get stranded out in the Pine Barrens, and I was thinking: This guy (Imperioli) is a good actor, I wonder what he's gonna do next. Then I log on here and see this topic. Weird

Michael Imperioli was pretty good in ABC's The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It was as if Christopher's Hollywood dreams had finally come true...
