These days I would never consider joining. Back in La Cosa Nostra's golden days(1900-1930's) things were different. For a long time, there were no rats. They honored the law of Omerta. The mobsters of today are a disgrace to people like Lansky and Luciano. Today, "This thing of ours" is more like "This thing of mine".
