Depends on how you define brilliant. If brilliancy only achieves
good, well yea, you have to look somewhere else.
However, Hitler was a master orator, a savvy politician and a psychopath. And he was a mass murderer. The Germans were one of the best educated people in the world yet they believed him, hook, line and sinker. He was brilliant in duping so many to believe his craziness.
