I think ALL of us are intrigued by the power and money the gangsters acquire. But the dirty part of the lifestyle (murder,distrust,etc.)changes your fasination of that lifestyle very quickly.

I wouldn't want to be looking over my shoulder and wandering when I'm going to be the next guy shot in the head and dumped in the river the rest of my life. And worrying about the health and well being of my family.
