I would make this tree because I took two passive but effective dons as consigliere and underboss so they wouldn't revolt against the don. I took some fiery caporegimes (Vito Genovese) And two of the smartest and most effective dons I could find (Tony Accardo, Aniello Dellacroce) and of course, the best hitmen.

Boss: Carlo Gambino Underboss: Charles "Lucky" Luciano Consigliere: Frank Costello Capo Regimes: Aniello Dellacroce, Al Capone Button Men/Enforcers: Albert Anastasia, Roy Demeo Assosciates: Meyer Lanskey
Ok and for shits and giggles...my fictional family would consist of:
Boss: Don Corleone (OF COURSE!) Underboss: Tony Soprano Consigliere: Tom Hagen Capo Regimes: Pete Clemenza, Sonny (from A Bronx Tale) Button Men/Enforcers: Luca Brasi, Tommy (from Goodfellas) Assosciates: Jimmy (from Goodfellas)

oooo, the Jewish family...Mr. Dutch SC, Gambino probably killed Anastasia because Anastasia was weaker than him. Gambino probably would not put a contract out on Luciano because Luciano was smarter

Originally posted by Salvatore Tessio: Gambino probably killed Anastasia because Anastasia was weaker than him. I'm not sure I follow your logic there, Sal. There were a lot of factors coming into play on this hit (on Anastasia). Vito Genovese was the leader against Albert, who had been "helped" by Frank Costello. Genovese really wanted Costello out of the picture so Vito could be the big Boss. A hit attempt was made against Costello in May, 1957, but Costello was only wounded. It was almost a certainty that Anastasia would attempt to avenge the hit because he was in Costello's corner, so Genovese sanctioned the hit on Big Al which took place in October, 1957. Carlo Gambino, realizing that Genovese could and would "win" this one went along with the hit, and was rewarded with the Family's leadership. Once he got to the top he turned against Genovese and was helpful in setting up Don Vito on drug charges. Very deceitful, this showed the true Mob workings.
