I know there are a few of us addicted to the JFK assassination, and for those who are and who get the History Channel, there is programming all week on the subject, with many interviews, clips, and for me anyway, new information. It runs here in California at 7:00 thru 10:00. I think it is in six parts. Anyway FYI. TIS

Thanks, TIS..I've been watching that stuff, too!
The thing that bugs me about this 'men who killed Kennedy' stuff - everyone who is interviewed (including the maid and LBJ's mistress, whom I've seen before on shows such as 'Hard Copy') seems to talk in a very unrealistic way. In other words, they recite their stories as if the words had been memorized, staged and rehearsed, not just like people being interviewed.
Not saying I don't believe there was a conspiracy, but these 'blow-by-blow' accounts are just too 'affected' to be taken seriously.
There was another, separate 'Men who killed Kennedy' series (about 15-16 years ago) from the one played on History Channel last night. It will probably air again this week. Oddly enough, it focused on an entire different set of leads & suspects, and interviewed completely different people from this one.
All interesting...but a little quirky too.

Yea Apple, Last night they had a girl that "said" she was having an affair with Oswald. I don't know one way or another about those kinds of claims, as anyone can say anything when the person they are talking about is not there to reply. However, I was intrigued with some of the medical experts, and a secret service agent who was told NOT to run along side JFK's car, and then showing footage of an agent signaling him to move, just before the assassination. Not to mention some of the autopsy/medical evidence that was totally screwed up. Ok, enought TIS! ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/laugh.gif) I feel like perhaps most are sick of this, so I won't go on, unless someone wants to discuss it further. TIS

DJ, I hadn't heard, but thanks for the heads up. I will check my tv listings and see. ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/smile.gif) Since Nov. 22 is the anniversary of the assassination, I imagine there will be several programs on. Thanks TIS

Chet Huntley, Frank McGee and others all sitting side by side at a big desk with a wooden panel wall behind them. At one point, McGee was actually repeating a report someone was giving him over the phone!!! Another thing I remember was Frank McGee finally breaking down hours later at about 3am....just before the network signed off & went to black. I'd view it again in a minute. Fascinating footage. I know I am finding it extremely interesting. Although I must admit fell asleep during the last hour yesterday (not due to boredom, but more like fatigue.) A lot of things I have read and heard about, but they are showing many interviews and mentioning certain things I didn't. TIS

Hi DJ, What was the perceptions of the reporter? Was it based on what they decided to report or their personal views? Although, they aren't suppose to give their personal views are they? The most popular of broadcasts, which most will remember is that of Walter Conkrite when he reported the President's death. TIS

Hey Sully, Have you been watching all week? Ruby "begging" the FBI to let him testify, but to no avail"?? ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/eek.gif) And the video of Ruby saying that the world would never know the truth." What's up with that??? You know, the USA is gonna be mighty sorry in 50/100 years when ALL of that generation is dead and gone, and they'll have no more people to question. Although....maybe that's what they're waiting for. I tell ya, I'm gonna be a private investigater and bust this wide open!!! ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/laugh.gif) My claim to fame! TIS

Patrick, There's actually a channel named WTF??? Are you talking of the McGruder film? I know at first the public could only see parts of it. Re: Oswald's murder, I remember it so well. It was Sunday afternoon, and my whole family was watching. It happened live and everyone was shocked (for the second time in two days). TIS

Yes, only parts of it were made available for many years. Then once it was sold back to Zapruder's family the more graphic, horrible frames showing a chunk of Kennedy's head virtually splitting off was made available for all the world to see. Being 5 years old at the time, I barely remember any of that weekend. The only real recollection I have is watching the public walk past his casket in the Rotunda. I think I asked my parents why everybody was crying. Apple

Zapruder! Of course! ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/blush.gif) I knew that! Must be getting senile. Ok, I saw the Peter Jennings show last night. They were trying to disqualify every reason for a conspiracy and although they made some valid points, I don't think they covered enough or answered all questions. For one thing, they said this "magic bullet" simply went from JFK directly to Connally's chest, when I always thought it also hit his leg and went back into the President. They failed to comment on anything about the medical evidence which I think should be investigated. ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/mad.gif) What about the team of Dallas doctors who swear (all of them) that there was a huge hole in the back of his head. These doctors were asked to leave so "another" team could take over. One Dallas doctor even showed a friend a picture taken that night. The autospy pictures in the Warren Commission report shows a small hole with hair neatly combed in the back. All these Dallas doctors swear to the large hole. Also, doesn't anyone at all think it is extremely strange that after literally hours of interviews with Oswald, which they recorded, there are no notes, and the tapes are mysteriously missing? Come on!! This wasn't an ordinary murder investigation! I know I'm going on and on, but this has always been of great interest to me. TIS

The troubling discrepancies in the descriptions of JFK’s body can be accounted for by the chaotic situation in the Parkland Hospital emergency room where JFK was attended—-more than 20 physicians worked on him at one point or another. The report was not written by a pathologist, and was done under duress: the Secret Service was rushing to get JFK’s body out of the hospital and on to Air Force One, so that LBJ could leave Dallas ASAP. And, as doctors or undertakers know, a corpse can undergo major changes in 12 hours if it is not embalmed or refrigerated. The computer animation last night also showed convincingly that a single bullet could have gone through JFK and caused all the damage to Connolly. It didn't offer a convincing explanation of how the bullet could have done all that damage and plopped itself, nearly intact, on Connolly's stretcher, none the worse for wear except for some flattening and a bit of a dent in its nose. The conspiracy theorists are convinced that someone (Ruby?) earlier fired Oswald's rifle into something soft, retrieved the bullet, and put it on the wstretcher. But that begs the question of why? If there really was a conspiracy, why would anyone want to create such obvious doubt by putting this improbable bullet where it could be found? The Warren Commission report is the path of least resistance to closure in the JFK assassination because, by blaming everything on two borderline-psycho loners, it neatly bypasses the who/when/where/why of conspiracy theories. And I find all the conspiracy theories less probable than the commission's report. It's easy to blame this one or that one, very hard to explain why they did it and how they got away with it. But I still stop short of believing the Warren Commission because too much was rushed through and left out. The only thing I believe for sure is that we'll never really know for sure.
