Your sources are incorrect. Thomas Bilotti was not carrying a weapon on the night he and Paul Castellano were both shot.

What was the name of the car Thomas Bilotti drove to the retaurant on the night he and Paul Castellano were both shot?

Al Capone's sister was named Mafalda, after the Italian princess.

"Immortal" because he was allegedly shot 15 or 20 times and lived to tell about it. "Snake" because he was little and sneaky--though no one ever called him "snake"--"Junior" was his preferred nom de guerre.

According to Joe Bonanno, in his autobiography, "A Man of Honor," the first chairman was Mangano. I believe him: It was typical of Charlie Luciano's businesslike attitude that he insist that someone else be the "chairman." Luciano arranged to have Salvatore Maranzano whacked because he pissed off all the Mafiosi when he declared himself "capo di tutti capi" and demanded a tribute from every Mafioso in NYC. Luciano naturally assumed the leadership of the Five Families after that, but he was smart enough not to make the same mistake Maranzano made. Mangano's "chairmanship" was a figurehead position--everyone knew that Luciano was the top Mob guy.
New Q: Who kidnapped Joe Bonanno?

Well according to Joe Bonnano, he was kidnapped by Nino Maggadino and his son Peter Maggadino, under the orders of his own cousin Stephano maggdino. However it is believed that he actually faked his own kidnapping to avoid both a subpoena from a federal grand jury, and the wrath of the commission.

I believe that, too. Bonanno's disappearance was just a bit too convenient, just a bit too well timed. And if Magaddino did kidnap him, would he have let him live?

Most accounts say he did it to ingratiate himself with Mussolini, whose protection he needed when he fled to Italy after being indicted for murder. Carmine Galante was the triggerman.
