Why didn't FFC leave that in? I seen the film before i read the book and i always wondered what happened to Fabrizzio. That scene would have been even better than the one in the book, or the one in the deleted scenes on the DVD where Fabrizzio is blown apart in his car.
"I don't want my brother coming out of that toilet with just his dick in his hand, alright?"

Of course it would be better than nothing, but I don't think it would be better than the scene in the book. That was more authentic, realistic. Don himself would never do it of course, and Mike was not obsessed with any mania. He was smart and sober enough not to put himself in any danger and to send a professional to do the job, howewer personal it might be. The scene in the book is so wonderfully written and directed , that you have only to shoot it - and it would be exactly what was needed. But FFC is so creative, you know, he has to change everything in the most melodramatic way.

I even admire him when he does good job, and that happens often. But when his decisions are not irreproachable (And that happens mostly when he tries to do someone else's job, writer's for example) I feel free not to agree with him, and not to accept the result. Nothing personal, as you see... Strictly business.

I wish Michael confronted Fabrizzio before murdering him, to let him know that he still remembers what he had done. Yes, I would think for something so personal as the killing of his pregnant wife, that Michael would want to handle that personally. But FCC didn't see it my way.
