OK, I stayed out of it for a while, but...with Mary's "accidental" murder, Michael dies, too. Not physically, but it takes everything out of him. There's no way he would want to have any part of the "family" after that. I like Liz Skywalker's version alot, and agree that that is exactly what FFC and MP wanted to convey.
