That idea really sucks. The &^%$#@ damned movie studio is no better than Tattaglia .... they're a bunch of pimps! They can't come up with a decent new storyline so they say, "Hey, lets see what happens if we try this".  I hate the idea of "what-if" in a continuing saga. NOTE TO THE STUDIO - SONNY DIED AT THE TOLLBOOTH!!! Ya wanna make a movie? OK, fine.... add on to the existing storyline to what already happened or go back into the past and expand on the story from there. DON'T concentrate on which stars were popular in previous episodes and hope the new story will fly. G*Damned movie studio execs trying to cash in on a star's "draw" rather than giving us a good story. BUNCH OF F*CKIN' PIMPS!! (SC steps off his soapbox)

(SC steps off his soapbox) Amen! Or here's a novel idea, instead of sequalizing/remaking everything ad infinitim, how about just coming up with a new idea? Wouldn't that be something? The Godfather Saga was incredible, let it stay that way.

im ready to cry...i really hope they don't go with that idea. and i agree with the notion that we should be sending in emails of what the movie should and should not be about. i for one trust our judgement better then the suites up at paramount.
i don't understand why they don't use the unfinished draft that puzo apparently started on, and have coppola finish the damn thing.

I heard that the guy from Titinic is going to play a young sonny If this is the case then they had better not make a GFIV period. Cause it wouldn't matter if they did a back story or went forward cause either way it would suck. And they'll cast "The Rock" and Paris Hilton in the lead roles Shame on you TIS that's not even funny.

i always felt if they were to continue the series on film that, present day might be the way to go. 20-25 years after Vincent takes over, hell maybe even from when michael Dies(what year was that? 92?) Anyways have that be the begining, and then Focus on the fall of the Corleones. have the movie focus not so much on Vincent, but on a Capo, or just buttonman, and his everyday struggles in the most famous mafia family in the world. i think A story kline that ends the saga would give some closure. and that opens things up for any flashback that seems to be the running theme here.

My idea on GF4 should be this. They should put Sonny's past on there but as flashbacks only not for long time. Like they did with vito in gf2. But i think they should deal with vincent and sonny real son from theresa. I think that would be an intersting plot. And they should also have flashbacks of mary's death to michaels.

yeah it might bomb, but i still think every single one of us will be there waiting on opening night with hopes of a classic on our hands. if only that phrase wasn't caused by the toxic fumes coming from my newly painted room god, i really dont' want them to fuck up on a fourth one if they make it but let me point out that i notice the godfather portion of this forum has started to heat up again...so who knows...that could be a sign of things to come.
