If they decide not to pay him, and he does boycott, then there should NOT be another season. How would The Sopranos be The Sopranos without The original Soprano?!

Just a quick question, as I don't really have a clue as to how these things work: is Gandolfini being greedy by wanting a higher salary, or does he have the right to in the first place? Thanks in advance.
