I was at one of the Target stores here in Santa Ana, CA, on Tuesday, around noonish, and they had a whole freakin' section with nothing but San Andreas. I bought my copy of it, went back to my motel room (I'm on vacation), and was completely fixated the minute it came on. I agree with the review from IGN.com, this is quite possibly the best game ever created. You think you could do anything in Vice City, San Andreas dwarfs it. You can literally do anything. You can recruit gang members to help you on missions, have girlfriends, its endless. This is without a doubt the best game I've played.

The first girlfriend you encounter comes about when you rescue her from a burning building (Which ironically was caused by a fire that you purposely started). Theres nothing you really have to do. Just follow the missions. The one you have to do for this, is for Officer Ten Penny.

This is probably very old news to you by now, but on a mission the cops have you burn a house down, but after it starts burning you rescue a girl from the window. After driving her home you can then go back and pikc her up. Take her to the bar on the first date to earn some love points with her. rb2003, my favourite character would have to be Carl himself or that dude you pick up in jail just cuz he gets me laughing. Right now I am doing missions in the middle of nowhere with a girl from gta3, and you won't belive who it is!

I'm sorry. I just don't like the new health system. Food for health, working out all the time, no armor to find, gaining respect(though this reminds me of GTA 1 and 2). Plus, now you have to use the control sticks. I don't like that, I'm an arrow pad guy. I'm just not getting a good feeling from this game. I liked the simplicity of Vice City. Shoot, kill, get car, beat mission. Health and armor, simple. I don't know, I'm just overwhelmed by all the possibilities. Gangs and getting shot everywhere I go, right off the bat. I hope this game improves when I leave Los Santos.

I'm yammering. I probably just need more time with it, but as of now, I might pop in Vice City.

I agree with you on the d-pad issue. It is alot more complicating now, but rockstar would have probly dissapointed a larger group of people with the same stuff. I still love this new game and I am even staying up till' 2:00 when my bro gets off so I can play it. One thing I noticed on the box right away was that it was 2 players. I still can't figure out, but it must be awesome when I do.

And Omar, yea I figured it all out. So far this game kicks so much ass. Not only the gameplay, but the storyline is unbelieveable.

I played it at my friends the other nite and I have to agree with Ferro (never thought I'd say that :p ) not being able to use the buttons to drive sucks. Can you reconfigure the controller? They should have left the controller alone. Its a big pain when your on a motorcycle.

I so agree with you guys! It really sucks when the controls slip your mind for a split second, you try and negotiate a left turn, and you fall off the bike. What kind of crap is that?!

I for one love the analog stick for driving.

I actually read about this DV, that the older model Playstations are having problems with the game. I don't know if it can be fixed or not, I'll do a bit of research and try to find where I read about it. Does anyone have any tips to beating "Wrong Side of the Tracks"? This is the mission where you and Big Smoke have to keep up with the train. Me and a friend have been trying all night.

Yea a lot of my friends are having problems with this mission too. I didnt think it was that hard at all. I guess my advice is dont get too close to the train. Get far enough to the right where smoke has a good shot. Thats basically all I can say.

You may have noticed i haven't posted for ages, i got it on saturday morning and it is class, i have done alot of missions but i'm stuck on the 1 where you have to defend the grove from that other gang but this game is amazing.
