Well I just had to find out one of San Andreas's new features the hard way. I was doing a mission in San Fierro, and it was one of the hardest ones thus far in the game. I was able to complete it. The last part was just to drive one of the guys back to his house, and this took me past the airport. Out of nowhere, a ####### plane crashes right on top of my car killing me and the guy. Just a warning guys, stay away from the airports if at all possible.
It's not just the airports. On the mission "Badlands", one airplane crashed near me while I was trying to sneak into the cabin. It freaked me out.
