Well, GTA is supposed to be somewhat of a cartoon-world... I think the way the cops viciously attack you kind of compliments that, in an almost comedic way... I've had some good laughs just being chased by the police in those games (especially in GTAIII!).
Although, during a mission, it can get irritating.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted.
