 Very good DC. I love your script. No question that our Don Geoff should be the one. What a collection. But if he can't go out there then I do like the idea of them filming one of our dinners. That would also be cool. Just film us having our GF discussions. It would be a homerun for them to have Turnbull, Geoff, SC, Plaw and DC all there at the sametime. DS

This winter is almost here.  We won't have to wait very long. I wonder if a tentative date/station is set. One thing is for sure, we'll ALL be viewing it.  This is very exciting. TIS

I agree TIS, this is really great stuff and Geoff should jump all over this. He deserves this kind of exposure. He's the one that has worked very hard to make this board andthe GF Trilogy board the best Godfather boards in cyberspace. Where else can one get the information that Geoff's site provides? No where! Just to keep y'all posted, I'll probably be talking to Robot tomorrow to see what this is all about. In the mean time, while snooping around the ol' WWW, I found this:

Robot Films and Electronic Arts are teaming up to produce a television program detailing the influence of the motion picture The Godfather on popular culture. We're interviewing heavy hitters in music (T.I. & Big Boi, etc.), sports and business to hear how this movie has shaped American society. All of this is in conjunction with the debut of EA's brand new The Godfather: The Game coming out in early '06.

I just talked to them - they should be coming to NY in a couple weeks, so I told them no problem... we'll see what happens...  I was kinda hoping to have an excuse to hit LA, but alas, this time of year is kinda tough, so the odds are better for me doing it in NY anyway... Now I just gotta think of something to say. I don't think I have to "audition" or anything, they'll probably just include anything they think they can use -- so I suppose it depends on me and how I do.
He said the format will be something like the Def Jam extra feature on the Scarface DVD, with the hip-hop artists -- a bunch of quick takes bouncing around among all the guests, like "I Love the 80s" on VH1. In fact, I think Def Jam will be part of this, too.
They're also looking for someone to "host" it, I wonder who they can get...?

Hmm, I never did hear back from these people... I just emailed them to see if they're still working on the special that's supposed to coincide with the release of the video game....

Okay, that was quick! I just heard from them: Hey there... Obviously, we never made it back to the New York area to include you in the piece. We delivered the final product over a month ago and haven't heard about an airdate (or inclusion in the game as a DVD). If you hear anything, let us know. I'll certainly do the same.
The final piece come together nice. Robot Films is proud of all the celebrities we were able to pull into this project.
Congratulations on the invite and trip. I haven't seen the game beyond a prototype so I am as anxious as you to get into it. I hope all is well... Now I'll contact EA to see what the status of this is...
