It's funny, cuz as a joke, I had put Houston as my pick from day one, to get a chuckle every time I looked at it. I, of course, planned on -- and did -- change it to Miami on gameday. Holy Crap. I wish I wasn't able to change it!! First instinct, right? Even if it was Houston??! :rolleyes:

At least that's one less game to worry about each week.

Just think about how many people were out the first week! Nothing to do with any point spread either!
No wonder so many people loose their shirts on spots betting!

Anyone want me to start a new game, beginning next week? or should we wait 'til the remaining 2 have been eliminated?

Let Big Daddy and Tony duke it out for 1st. I think the losers should start over. I wouldn't say that if it weren't WEEK ONE!!!! :rolleyes:

At work, I think 23 out of the 24 picked Miami. The one lucky dog that picked Denver is $240 richer. We will DEFINITELY be starting over but we are gonna add more money too.

Here there is no money required, so I say if JGeoff doesnt mind setting it up, I am all in....

I didn't see any mention - You lose, you start a new one.

My thoughts on this is that everyone came into this as a group and they should see it through. And I am not saying that because I am still left - hell I barely made it with a last second FG - but what is the meaning of it if everyone just bags cause they are out and starts a new one? What happens if next week 9 of 12 are out - do those 9 than start yet another ?

It is called Survival for a reason, not to continually start a new one cause some are out. My thought is that once this is complete, and that may be next week than a new one could be created if there is enough interest.

And I would say the same if I was out and two others were left. Anyway my two cents.

That's what I was gonna do, Bad Daddy. Wait 'til next week when you two are done, too To do it any sooner wouldn't be fair.

I didn't ever mean to take anything away from the two people that did well...they are to be commended. And I will continue to watch to see who becomes victorious in this...

I just thought that since the "losers" were finished for good anyway, we could start over in a completely different game - losers only rather than sit around for another 15 weeks doing nothing. I would not suggest this if we were already in Week 3 or 4 or further.... A victory would still be sweet for either of the two that finished this one.

But then you know me, I am pretty much "in" whatever the majority decides. I probably have too much going on anyway

Yeah ok, I am a sore loser sometimes :p - I know the feeling well - but one thing I don't ever do is take away from anyone else who does well. I give props where it's deserved. Never a "slap in the face" to those who do well.

Just ask plaw - Mister double-or-nothing-best-three-out-of-five-rematch-anyone? We are the type of people who NEVER give up.

Regarding the survival game - don't go away mad - just go away.

Ha listen to me - Mr. barely wins on a FG with 16 seconds left. Glad I didn't go with my first choice of Dallas, that I thought was a sure pick. Damn, it would have been over all ready.

No LDV, It wasn't directed at you, just a general comment. MOST of us who play these things together have thick skin or we wouldn't be here right! We dish it out and take it too.

I guarantee this week- the Bears will score some points against the Vikes! Hey, you gotta start somewhere. By the way, the Bears have scored 7 more points than the Iggles have this year.

And about fantasy football, I'm so confident, I might even start Vick this week! :p

I kind of put matchups in a hat on who to pick and I decided on the Jets over the Dolphins. They have owned them at home for the longest time. But anyway, go Packers!

I would first like to take a minute to thank everyone who has made this journey so enjoyable for me and who - without their support and guidance I would not be able to stand here today as the GF Survival Football Winner - and nobody can take that away from me - can they PL?

So first I need to thank the 10 people who took Miami in week 1. I also like to thank the Miami Dolphins for (a) losing to the pathetic Texans in week 1 and (b) beating the Jets in week 2.

I will cherish this day always.
