I have added my hat into this basketball league.

Not because I know anything about basketball, but because I see you need a few more people to make this thing come alive. I had some fun with the baseball league and have enjoy the Football, which only takes a small bit of time each week.

Now, I know crap about B-Ball and don't even have a clue on who is who in most cases, so I do except some extra crap from SOME of you folks who do. It will be interesting to see how a person with no knowledge does against you folks who do follow the sport. Something to gauge by.


In fact I have to say that this BB board has gotten rather dull for me and I have spent less and less time here. There are some strange people or kids out there and I have found that there is almost nothing worth reading or replying to on most threads. Is it just me or do others feel the same way?

I always enjoyed the close knit group during baseball and hope things here may be the same. Trash talk and ball busting included.

There is not much chatter with the football. I guess a league that is every day makes it more interesting and makes people log on each day.

Don't get excited, I'm not joining. Just curious, do you lose points if your player is arrested for drugs, rape, murder, assault, carrying a concealed weapon, contracting an STD, giving an STD or wearing too much jewelry?

I don't know about those things but I do know that we will get extra points for every illegitimate child and the amount of times they refer to themselves in the third person.

Is that info listed on the cheat sheets? I wonder if Kobe gets one point for every court appearance.

My real game is baseball. I know a lot more about it than I do basketball, although, as you may know, the only team I have an emotional attachment to is my New Jersey Nets.

And, yeah. I started this league because I missed the comraderie of the baseball season, just as you said you did.

I saw Sammy on tv on the World Series of Poker with that cigarette hanging out of his mouth and I had to do a double take. Maybe that's why plaw is so absent lately. If I would have known he was a poker shark I would have ordered more then the Linguine with Crab Meat for dinner.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

The season starts tomorrow. Your roster must be selected by 3:00 am EST Tuesday morning.

Please note:

1--Be sure you don't go over the 100 point "salary cap"
2--Only players with an opponents name listed next to them are playing on a given day.
3--If Fantasy Baseball is a guide, the generally accepted strategy is to make sure that you select a roster each day consisting of only players who are playing on that given day. Since basketball teams only play 3-4 games a week, I can't envision a situation where you would want to hold onto a guy who isn't playing simply because you have him "locked in" at a low salary cap value.

Don't listen to plaw... he couldn't even win the second half of fantasy baseball (although nobody can take away his first half championship!) :p

Can we kindly not talk about baseball in this thread please! :p
