Except for DB and Nowitzki, it looks like we all stink tonight.

At least so far. Kobe and Malone are still yet to be heard from.

39 pts from Ginobili ???
How'd you pick him, DB? If it wasn't just luck, then I'm in trouble

Edit: I didn't realize LA-SA was double overtime. Kinda like an extra inning pitcher's duel, when you get tons of unexpected points from your PS. I feel much better.

(Letter I sent before the game)

Manu Ginobili
San Antonio Spurs
1 SBC Center
San Antonio, TX 78219

Dear Mr. Ginobili,
I wanted to write and tell you what a big fan I am of yours. I also wanted to ask you if you can score more than usual today, because, being your #1 fan, I picked you in my fantasy league today.

You may have read about others who write similar letters like this- "fans" describing themselves as deaf, mute, and confined to wheelchairs. Those aren't legitimate fans- like me. They are only in it for the free poster that they might win.

Well, that's all I wanted to say. I should keep this brief so you can focus on the Lakers. Good luck!

Sincerely,
D.B.

P.S. - I AM blind, deaf, and confined to a wheelchair.

You're wasting your time with a letter to this guy, DB. He's from Argentina, and I heard he barely understands English.

BTW, did you notice that you had both of "Yesterdays Best" guards, and I had both forwards? Unfortunately, we both had the wrong O'Neal

Since there's no Pitching Staff to list with each day's scores, I'm gonna start including each league member's "V.Avg." for that day. That number tells us the total of the average number of fantasy points per game compiled by the players on his team that day.

Or to put it another way, if the above wasn't too clear, how many points each member can expect to score that day if every player on his team hits their average.

Maybe I'll include a plus/minus figure the following day

PL 959 066 1025 116.0
DB 908 084 0992 112.4
JG 884 087 0971 110.6
CC 871 076 0947 101.9
SP 840 101 0941 100.8
BT 850 074 0924 098.8
OA 748 081 0829 115.0

I have been terrible lately, but there have been some bad games as well. The stars have not played like they should when I pick 'em. Alright, that's enough of my pouting. It's still early...

BGT, you better put "Whine Alert" on that before you hurt somebody!

Just joking, man!

Yea, Kobe's and Tyson Chandler's performances last night were ridiculous.

Hmmmm....

In the baseball game, you were able to view all the other league members scoring summary, transaction log, etc.

Seems as though in this game you can only view your own

Yep, I pretty much guaranteed that he'll score in the single digits tonight!

Davis every now and then will have big games and it's usually when he's not on my team. Then I pick him and you the rest... That's my story. I'll tell you who I will never pick and it's not Shawn Bradley: the overpaid Raef LaFrentz. Geez, that guy makes huge $ for 8 ppg and 6rpg? Must be the Jim McIlvaine theory.

I remember McIlvaine. The Nets had him a few years ago. Couldn't do anything except block an occasional shot. He makes Lafrentz look like Michael Jordan.

Same theory as in boxing??

Jim McIlvaine is the one that got that ridiculous contract from Seattle, right?! Seattle isn't very good at evaluating big men. Calvin Booth turned out to be another bust.

Nice to know I'm not the only one here.

I don't get the Jim McIlvaine-Boxing reference.

Who's Calvin Booth? Never heard of him. That means you're more dangerous than I thought.

Congratulations on your temporary ascension to first place. I have to start paying more attention to this thing, and stop picking guys who aren't gonna play.

This game may not be the cakewalk that I thought it would be.
