Everyone in our fantasy baseball league will be happy to know that with the playoffs starting Saturday, I'll have to devote some of my attention to the New Jersey Nets.

Well, many people are picking the Milwaukee Bucks as the upset of the 1st round. As long as they can get a win in NJ, and come home and finish the job. I think it will be a good series.

The first round is a 4 out of 7 now, BGT, so I don't think your Bucks will be able to finish the job on their first trip back home unless they win both the first two games in New Jersey. But the way the Nets have been playing, i wouldn't be shocked.

Hey PL after seeing your team score 19 and 12 points the first two games this week - we all thought you started early devoting your time to the NBA playoffs -

Of course it appears that I started devoting my time to the NBA playoffs the past few games

PL-
Since the Lakers finished 50-32 and the Nets finished 49-33, it looks like if there is a game 7 between the two teams in the finals, it will take place at Staples, not in Jersey. Darn!

And badguytony was ready to count them out...

I wouldn't count the Bucks out yet. Granted, they played terrible for 3 quarters (especially Payton), but did u see Tim Thomas? He's pissed that Karl is bringing him off the bench. The Bucks will use the strip club distraction as motivation, because the media will talk all about it. Don't forget it's best of 7.

Anybody see T-Mac torch the Pistons last night? I saw ESPN today & he just destroyed them almost single handedley, but Gooden had a great game as well! I gotta back up my main man Don Corpuzzi & say that I'm going with the Lakers to win it all this year! Outta the East I gotta go with Jersey though, for my boy Kidd!

Can anybody believe that the Bucks just beat the Nets, in Jersey? Better hope they can get out of the 1st round plawrence! Don Corpuzzi, you sitting comfortable with your Lakers? Or are you a little worried this year about Sacramento, San Antonio & Dallas!?

You know what's really funny, the poll on ESPN today. It's says how long will the Lakers & T-Wolves series go. About 41% said that Minnesota would win. I'm sorry but I just thought that that was too funny! L.A. losses one game & has an off night, and now all of a suddent they're going to loss the series.

I think that every year the Lakers have a new challenge. The first championship they had to deal with Portland coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the Western Conference Finals and being 12 minutes away from elimination. In 2001, everyone expected them to run the table after going 11-0 in the first three rounds, then they had to deal with AI. Then last year, they had to overcome the Sacramento Kings in their legendary 7 game series. Although being tied with Minnesota 1-1 in the first round is hardly a battle (yet), I'm not worried. These guys are battle-tested and should be the favorites until someone beats them.

Exactly Don Corpuzzi. Until someone has beat L.A. 3 games in a series & only needs one more to go, I'm not worried about L.A. lossing at all (especially now that the series with Minn shifts to Los Angelos!)

Big W for the Bucks last night, but it's only one game. They have to improve their free-throw shooting. Good to see GP and Thomas have breakout games along with Kukoc's great all-around performance. I hope he's not banged up too bad, cuz when he is on the floor, the Bucks are a hard team to stop.

Great game tonight, Tony, eh? The key game is Saturday. If the Bucks can pull it out, then Nets in 7. If the Nets win Saturday, they'll wrap it up in 5.

Damn Rodney Rogers. The guy can't hit a free throw but hits a clutch jumper. It was a great comeback, but it was not enough. Hey plawrence, those officials were pretty inconsistent for both teams. They better get it under control, or else this series could get really nasty. Bucks have to get game 4 tomorrow, or else it's gonna be tough to make it a full 7.

Talk about officiating! Did you see the Laker game? The refs did all they could to give the game to LA.

Man, now my guys are down 2-1. Do we all remember the last time the Lakers were down 2-1? Game 4 against Sac ended up being one of the great Laker games in history. Let's hope for some deja vu.

I agree plawrence. That was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen. When the announcers start saying "If the Lakers win, this will be a tragedy" and they're supposed to be the objective ones... Man it was bad. The last four calls on Garnett were ridiculous. Although it did go the other way too (like when Kobe was fouled on a drive to the basket near the end of regulation I believe), most of the calls were clearly against the T-wolves.

They actually did that stat last night DC. I believe they said it was back in 1997 (not counting the sweeps in 1998 and 1999).

Hey PL - you are lucky that game didn't goto overtime at least. Don't forget if the Sixers somehow get to a series against your Nets - we'll need to talk some

Alright L.A. crushed Minnesota last night by 30! One more win, and then the Lakers move on to face the Spurs (when they beat the Suns). See, everyone got all excited that the Wolves were ahead 2-1 in the series & now L.A. has won the last 2 games & have pushed Minnesota to the brink of elimination!
