do i gotta change my roster everyday? cuz not all the players play everyday. or are we just leavin them alone for a while?

The more players that play, the more points you'll get. But, player values change overnight Sunday/Monday, so your "must have" players should stay on your roster whether they play or not if you want to keep their cost down. Read "How to Play" on the other site, and all the msgs in this thread...

I'm a HUGE Yankee fan, but I usually will stay away from thier pitching staff. The have the best starting rotation in the Big Leagues, but they are all older and will rarely throw a complete game. Since they have to turn it over to thier bullpen, there is possibility of trouble. The bullpen is realy hurting right now with Rivera out and Choate suffering from some minor injuries. Also, Hammonds has not been so sharp as of late, and Lieber is too unpredictable.

That's just my extremely well informed two cents.

You're absolutely right, HH! The one thing, though, that the Yankees will still have is W's - tho they'll give up more runs (and therefore earn less points)...

Yeah, they will definately get W's, probably 100 of them or so. But as far as fantasy points, you are better off elsewhere I believe. One staff would be the D-Backs. As for my staff, the Twinkies, they are doing great right now, but when they start losing, watch out.

Well, I had to drop the Yanks for tomorrow, since they're not playing now. Not much to pick from for tomorrow, either. But, I'm not giving up my NYY hitters -- so I won't get much offense tomorrow. I have to see what the new player values are gonna before before I start getting rid of my favs.

D-Backs - yeah - that sure what a no-brainer last year! This year, not yet...

Pitching seems to count for too much here. It seems as though you get too many points for a mediocre win, compared to what you get for a good game by a hitter.

You bastards w/ the Dodgers' PS tonight! :p Extra-inning games w/ low scores are GREAT for points.

And also keep this in mind: in double-headers, both games count!

As any baseball fan shoudl know...pitching wins championships. If you don't have pitching, I don't care who's in your lineup!

That being said, I wish we could create our own pitching staff out of 5 starting pitchers. Now that would be great!

I'm way confused with the new market values.

For instance, my team's value went up to 51.3. I understand that I can keep the LKD value on the guys whose value rose, but its so confusing to figure out how much "room" I have to play with on my team's budget.

Also, how the hell do they figure these new values? Manny Ramirez, as an example, had a sub-par week but his value remained the same

The LKD value under "Total Rating" is what's your paying, and the "Difference" is what you have leftover. The MRK totals just show you what your teams worth overall (the negative number should be considered a positive, the worth above 50)

Oh, to calculate the new values, they use a complex system: smoking pot and throwing darts on a board marked -3, -2, -1, -, +1, +2, +3
