A tangential point, pentangeli was drunk and it is also true that michael comments about it, but I feel that the glass did not slip from his hand accidentally or because he was drunk out of control, but pentangeli wanted to make a point by showing how pissed off he was with michael for not letting him discuss important business matters and for keeping him waiting. He purposely knocked over the glass.
