Same scenario: After the error, the pitcher gets tatooed. Gives up homers, doubles, walks, and 6 runs. All unearned? Makes no sense. The pitcher should've been out of the inning, but the fielding error caused him to continue. It's not the pitchers fault (well, unless he caused the error himself), so why should he be penalized with a higher ERA? I don't think you necessarily need 2 outs to get unearned runs, either. What I DO hate, a lot, I probaby mentioned already. I forget. But how a starter can leave the 8th inning with like a 10-2 lead, clearly winning the game. Then the releavers come in and give up 8 runs, tieing the game. The team wins anyway, and the same reliever who gave up those 8 runs ends up being the winner of the game. WTF is that bullshit? Happend to Mo Rivera last week. Total bullshit, IMHO. And damn you, PL, for having over 40 pts already with a negative PS score for game one... argh! At least I have Sexson though ... :p

Yeah, he should have been out of the inning, but all that subsequent offense was still his fault. Those same guys still would have batted in the next inning, so in effect, their contribution is being negated, at least as it applies to the pitcher's ERA, simply because it came after an error. Of course your right about not needing two outs for an unearned run. The first batter can reach on an error, and whenever he scores, rgardless of the number of outs, the run will be unearned. i just used the two out example to illustrate what I think is the stupidity of the rule. Nice to have all this offense today. I need it to keep up with the Mutts pitching.

Wow, a pretty good day for everyone! (See first post of this page) BD moved up 2 spaces to #6 - a contender in the second half, no doubt JJ - What happened, you got 2 extra points somehow And go figure, no curses... except pour DB, with the Curse of Plaw killing his PS!

Thank God no more rainouts. All these double headers did for the top 3 is advance us all up the same since we pretty much had the same players and PS. And today? Was there a blue light special on Giants? At least it will come down to making some points off offense. Although Pork and I still share same players. On second thought? plawrence IS the devil.

Oh I don't ever cross you off my list as a contender. I can remember doing the one-step-forward-two-steps-back dance with you for a long time. But the top 4 isn't gonna see a whole lot of change in scenery if we all keep picking the same PS UNLESS we have players who are gonna play offense like those did in the 2 days of double headers!! Now, on a serious note. The weekend is approaching. You all know what that means - I gotta work to fight off the decline potential. Buffy's going out tonight and will NOT be home in time for the deadline so hopefully no rainouts/major injuries or changes after 6 pm or so.

You'd rather me hex Corey? I'd love to put him on the DL so y'all have to get him off your rosters! You can play with Karros all you want, though, Buff...

Ha! Well that is Karro's HIT for the year. He's done. Hey, I never said he was gooooooood! Karros, Mussina, Matheny, Zeile. A few of the world's most perfect men DB, are you "watching" the game at work? Me too! It's only 3:20 here so I gotta ways to go.
