Yuck, Eric is wearing a Cubbies hat, ick. The picture I have at my desk here (no stalker jokes) he is holding a bat, looking sideways and wearing his Dodgers shirt. Hair is tousled oh man, he is just too cute. And why in the world anytime a girl shows interest in a nice looking, successful, sweet guy all the OTHER guys imply he is gay? Second time that has happened to me today By the way, they lived together like in college (that is not when I saw them, darn), not now JG - I think he married someone else and had a kid a year or so ago....
I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve - I have a history of taking off my shirt.....

Wow. D-H tomorrow, and not even good enough (to me) to take much advantage of it. I'm sticking with my PS, and swapped only 2 batters cuz of the D-H (reluctantly), one from KC, and one from Col. They're all sucking, so, I probably screwed myself taking even them! But let's see... And Buff, I can't believe you missed it anyway! 10 mins to deadline... who dares?

Helton, of course, but then it was tough to find guys that figured to play both games. Looks like Buffy wasn't the only one who missed it. DB abd BD have Helton, and I think that's about it. Edit: Didn't notice that DB & SC have Colorado PS Almost missed it.

I had the San Fran PS originally, but my maneuvering for the DH forced me to go with the cheaper White Sox. But any decent pitcher can never be a bad pick in Dodger Stadium.
I was tempted to take the Rockies PS, but then I asked myself a very simple question:
"What am I, fucking nuts?"
I admire your courage, DB. But desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess.

Damn, Gina! (For all the "Martin" fans out there) I'd like to say that I picked Colorado because I'm a stragegist and felt that it was a good way to get the points I lost this week. But no, that's not the case. I picked Chacon earlier in the day and thought for sure that only the Atlanta game was postponed. If I did know it was a doubleheader, you guys know I would gone the plaw route and loaded my team with offensive players from the doubleheader, especially Colorado. As it stands, I only have Helton. Arggh- I hate tactical errors! Well, I better start my concession speech now... hmmm... hmmm (clearing my throat) Today (day day day...) I consider myself (self self self...) the luckiest man (man man man...) on the face of the earth. (earth earth earth...) :p Are you kidding me?! The eternal optimist says 3 homeruns for Helton and two shutouts by Colorado! Go Rockies!

Argh! Those bastards!
When I went to bed, Colorado had Todd Jones (8.19 ERA) going in Game 2, so that sealed the deal for me NOT to take part in it (Chacon is good pick, for Game 1). But apparently they swapped Jones with Elarton (4.76). Not great, but something I would've considered, even at Coors, where the Rockies are 24-8.
Helton better do something today, I reluctantly took even him cuz he's done nothing the past week. If he bombs like Burnitz did, and Delgado has a great day, I'm gonna be pissed. Same for A-Rod over Berroa...

But we won't necessarily have the same picks...We still have a few "strategists" who keep multiple players because of the cap. One, I can live with. More than one, makes no sense. And there's over 1000 ways to arrange a ten man team given two choices at each position.

Well, yeah, besides the "keepers" -- I'm down to 2 of those As for those 1000 combinations, I'm sure there are some "no brainers" in there that we'll all pick... haven't looked at it yet, though. I'm still working on tomorrow...

Good Morning, all! I will call this "Buffy's Sad Obsessed Life" -probably be long, but read, you might get a chuckle or two: Friday afternoon @3:00 pm I work on my roster since I know I will not be around Friday night. I almost hit the button to pick Colorado PS because I was impressed with Chacon the last time he played at home. Then to quote PL "am I fucking nuts?" Finish roster for Saturday somewhat satisfied. Friday night 6-7pm Watching sportscenter, notice 2 rain delays, think oh shit. Please no DH's tomorrow. Friday night 7pm Being rushed by husband to move faster getting ready and asked to step away from the TV. Called obsessed by husband. Thinking that it was going to be the Atlanta game ppd, I complain that if I dont know these things and am not able to make changes, I could potentially be the 6th place chump. Called obsessed a 2nd or 3rd time. Atlanta game flashes across the screen as PPD as I am walking out the door. Friday night 8 pm Sitting in a restaurant with friends feeling frustrated that I didnt know anything that was going on in baseball world. Casually ask the male at the table if he was watching the games tonight. Turns out he is not a baseball fan. Called obsessed by hubby one more time. I start focusing on the cocktails seriously wishing I had BethE's number with me. She's at home with a computer and access to my password (EcnahCtaF)and would probably do a friend a favor (research and roster changes if needed) Called myself obsessed for the first time. Friday night 10 pm Get a call from my friend who is in town who wants to go out later for a drink. Hubby is going home. I write on a cocktail napkin all the site info he needs to check the DH info. Give him password and writes down names of people to pick up and tell him what PS staff to with AS LONG as the DH is scheduled for Saturday. Instruct him what two players to keep no matter what on my roster. He looks confused. I'm feeling stressed. Can you do this I ask him? Calls me obsessed and says it is just a game. I remind him about PL and how hard I have worked to keep JG behind me. He assures me he will do his best. Saturday 12:50 am A break in the fun. I call home to touch base. Stall a little and small talk before I get to the real reason for my call. He tells me the date the Atlanta DH is scheduled for. I thank him for looking out at me. He says no problem. All is well in the Buffy household. Saturday 10am Hmmmm, so I FORGOT to mention the possibilities of other DH's. I understand this would have been a hard choice to contend with but I never had the pleasure of stressing over it. Only thing I can say now is I traded Palmiero for Helton at the last hour yesterday. And now Pork Chop and I are tied And I have no plans to go out tonight
