Or at least when you wake up on Thursday Just taking my time, Buffy, taking my time! :p Everyone knows this game begins in the 2nd half! In any case, here are my thoughts on the first half: - MVP: Plaw. Congrats on your fine play this first half. You managed to avoid most curses and able to find gems in your line-up. I believe your players were corking their bat though! - Comeback Player: Bad Daddy. His rise from the basement was pretty impressive. And to think about it, did you all know he started 10 games late? Think of all the negative points he could have gotten! Too bad about the curse though. - Trash Talker Award: Tie- Buffy and Pork (in that order since Pork has an asterisk!) You two are pros at talking trash. I think the back and forth at the end of the season helped your cause. Honorable mentions go to Plaw, Bad Daddy and Bethie. I am admittedly an amateur. - Rookie of the Year: Tie- Basement Bethie and Fatherson. You two can stop carrying our bags in the second half! - Player Most Likely to Play with an Injured Player for a Week: Our consigliere, SC. You shouldn't have let him know, JG! :p - Potential Surprise Player for the 2nd Half: Watchout for JJ. He might do a couple of things- which might amount to a 6th or 7th place finish, but still- surprising. :p - Other than myself, Player Most Likely to Win 2nd Half: Plaw. Until you knock him out, it's still his game to lose. Watch out for the first loser and second loser of the first half though- JG and Buffy could pull it out.

Don't worry I will be there for the next half.I can now take my Shine Guards off as Bethie is out of the beasment! Win, or lose I will be there. Who would want to miss all the trash talk each and every day. This is the one thread without the jerks and grade schoolers looking for trouble! Let us hope that it stays that way! But the way i was out there getting a haircut and a trim. I have to look my best for the 2nd half, now don't I. By the way great game everyone- I wished I had started sooner, but the few weeks practice will help for the nexxt game.

Anyone else feeling the effects of withdrawal?? Last night, I didn't have to tweak my roster. Oh, the spare time I had! This morning, no scores to check. No veiled insults to hurl. Well, I could, but they would not be related to playing baseball I might actually GO OUT to lunch instead of staying in checking probables. Addicted you say? Talk me down. I must prepare for when baseball overlaps with football.

Me. I've had a sinking feeling since last night that I forgot to do something important. First day back at work from vacation, and here I am still checking this thread. Can't wait until Wednesday when I can pick a roster again and begin the defense of my title.

I was actually hoping the OFFICIAL results changed last night and leaned in my favor. Crazy that I was actually vying for 2nd place all that time. I think I should get the award for most driven player. At times, I really think I may get cut out of the will. No worries though. Next time I'm there I'm hunting that bird flipping squirrel down and his nuts will be mine.

Me. [/b][/quote]Just wait for the Fall when you have to wait 5 months 'til the next season. Thank goodness for football to distract for a couple months... I play a lot of the ESPN games just to keep going year-round -- basketball, hockey, horse racing, car racing, golf -- whether I know the sport or not I didn't enjoy last year's baseball postseason game, though... you had to buy teams (no big deal), but I loaded up on everyone BUT Anaheim and was out the first week because all players were locked in through the world series! Anyway, good show this first half. Buffy can have Honorary 2nd Place... She and PL better watch their backs next half, though!

The ending came fast and feels seemingly anti-climactic. After all that incessant crowing, PL isn't even gonna grace us with one of his infamous "newspaper clippings" declaring his victory? Maybe I am just coming down from not fully appreciating his "you-call-that-dancing-" victory dance. Pork making me "honorary" 2nd place? God, can you feel the love in this place??!! Good sportsmanship is great. Good job everybody. High Five and smack butts and all that....Just make sure I am pissed off or at least annoyed with most of you by the time Wednesday rolls around....

Waahhh, Waahhhh, Wahhhh Cupcake Bad Daddy. Starting this week no more crying about starting 10 weeks late, 10 days late, 2 minutes late, the Rip Van Winkle excuse. This will separate the men from the, what's that word, "girls". Bad boy, bad boy, what ya gonna do, what ya gonna do when I come for you?

Free ride? Free ride? We gave PL nothing - he just TOOK it! How come I KNEW that Bad Daddy would be the FIRST one to annoy me for Wednesday I don't see any scratch or bite marks on you from any fighting. Even the DoucheMan tried to claw his way away from you. Here are my predictions for the 2nd half: Player Most Likely to Fizzle and Burn: Plaw. After his deal with the devil to get JKidd back, I predict a 5th place finish for . Go Nets! Player Most Likely to Have a Curse Named After Her: Bethie. The first half, the Bethie curse really didn't do any damage, save a few points here and there. Come second half, we will all see the full brunt of this dreaded curse. As Kurtz said, "The horror... The horror..." How Many Days it will Take Bad Daddy to Complain About Picking the Wrong Pitching Staff: 2 How Many Days it will Take Pork to Complain About Picking the Wrong Pitching Staff: 1 How Many Woody and Wood References We Will Have in the 2nd Half: 342 How Many Times Plaw will complain about the innuendo: 2 Player Most Likely to Invite the Youngsters into the Game: Fatherson Temperature in Hell Once Fatherson invites Vercetti into the Game: 0 degrees Kelvin Player Most Likely to Lose His Curse in the 2nd Half: SC. I see SC spending Plaw-esque amount of time in this game for the second half.

Thank you Douche-Man aka Nostradamus!! Too funny You are probably right on with all those. Add: Times Douche Bigalow distracts himself with talk of pom poms and nice backsides: 50+ Can't call HIM a girl! BDD - I didn't attempt to CATCH the ball, because I didn't WANT the ball. What the HELL would I do with an old dirty baseball? Although I could think of ONE thing to do with it at this very moment. Too bad BDD, you are so far away....

If you caught that ball, you would be absolutely whoopin' it up right now and somehow linking how catching the ball means you are destined to win the 2nd half! :p
