Good Morning all,

Boy, I got a good nights sleep last night.

SC, it was three players I missed filling last night. I was doing my team and noticed how many people weren't playing so I started with my PS which took me longer then I thought. I checked for Double headers! and then I had to think not only about who would beat each other but who would get me the most points. Now factor in the weather with Hurricane Isabel coming on shore and then a started changing my team members. So I jumped off the site to check something on the weather and checked out the Godfather website which seemed like it was down and I couldn't get on.

Anyway I was going to give up some of my best players who were not playing, but found it hard to decide when they are 1 million dollar cheaper then there current value. So the guys you are replacing them with are not as good.
It was just then when the phone rang and off I went. Out to spend so time with a friend who had a problem and needed a hand with something. Of course I never got in to late and just plain forgot to go back and finish my roster. Hey, things happen, and like I said before I was not going to let a Fantasy Game get in the way of real life!

Hell why not, Pee Lawrence told me that WE didn't have a chance anyway and now he tells me that my spelling / grammar and typing are bad too. What is a guy to do? A guy can slip up one night now can't he? I must be the luckiest guy around because I have more then one good night and still have a real life besides!

I could only imagine what it would be like if I made my living here with Fantasy Sports! Maybe I would spend four or more hours researching it. Hell, I think I spend to much time with the 30-45 minutes I spend now.

Sure is fun to play, and the trash talk and ball busting makes that much time all worth while. Good thing I am thick skinned and have huge shoulders to carry the load.

30 - 45 minutes, huh, FS? That's actually more than I spend... 10 - 15 minutes max researching my team for the next day for me... Does that make me an even luckier man?? :p

Well don't forget you got that simulation video like game so that can cut down on your research time.

Yes, 30 to 45 mins.
I start with baseball with PS taking the longest and then roster and in between I'm looking at statistics and sometimes I catch some neat info which I stop and look at. Check out some box scores and who doing what with the games in progress. Then back again till I am happy and of course I will check out my football picks for the week and see who is hurt and who was arrested or got shot up this week! Who's girl friend is knock up or has been knock around! Of course you get messaged every so often so you have to take the time to be nice and reply!

Now, they want me to add spelling and grammar to the list, I don't think so. If that was so important they should have added a spell checker to the message board! Only kiding, The old man is always on me about it, because he isn't good at it and wants me to do better then he does. I guess that is what parents are for!

Thanks Pee-Lawrence, I went back and fixed that error. I will remember to get you something on Teachers day!

I see where they are starting the Yankee game at 12:35 this afternoon because of the storm. I do hope they get the Mutts game in for you before that rain comes up the coast. Then again maybe you will be lucky and it will keep you from getting negative points. You can never trust those Mutts to save your bacon for you. Have the Mutts been good to you before?

NYY/Bal game was suspended. Glad I thought of that possibility last yesterday

Think the stats will count though - it went the 6 innings. My guess is they will or should - hey I got 4 points in that game.

Actually I thought of it also and Roberts was the only player from the East Coast - I thought with a 12:35 start I would be safe - close.

Gee glad I smart enough to ensure that my PS was nowhere on the east coast. Can you imagine anyone playing this long and making that rookie mistake. :p

It only went 5 innings, final, tied. I had Sierra in that game, but didn't think he'd play anyway, so it's okay w/ me it's a shortened game :p

PS Seattle/Texas delayed after 4 innings - I don't have anywere there, either...

--
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Hurricane Isabel and the Baltimore Orioles teamed to deny Mike Mussina his 200th career victory Thursday.

A steady rain and the imminent arrival of hurricane-like winds caused the game between the Orioles and New York Yankees to be stopped after five innings in a 1-1 tie.

The individual statistics will count, and the commissioner's office will determine whether the game will be made up -- the teams play in New York on the final weekend of the season. Umpires called the game after a 44-minute wait.

You talkin' to me?

The private weather forecasting service that I subscribe to at no small expense, assures me that the Met game will be played.

Not only that, they also say that the ferocious wind will be blowing in , so it will be impossible for anyone to hit a hmoer off Traschel.

Finally, according to Traschel's bio-rhythm chart, today is a "triple up day". I expect a three hit shutout with 10 strikeouts.

Of course I am NOT talking to you, I know you have Mastered the Fundamentals, a seasoned veteran as yourself - the first half champion (of which nobody can EVER take away) would never allow yourself to get rained out being so close to second with only 10 days left in the season.

So regarding Traschel's bit-rhythm, damn I see you also discovered my secret web site http://www.mlbplayersbiorhythms.com

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Everyone writing their sissy letters - I just sent Halladay a photo yesterday showing off my best assets.

plaw did one better obviously. Of course, what he REALLY sent Jason Schmidt will remain a closely guarded secret, heck - people were even plunging to their deaths at that game!

Too much rain in the world. Here - sunny and 88. Too bad no games HERE tonight

Oh God, Doucheman. 1st the rude poem, now this. Did you move into a top floor condo that the loss of oxygen is clouding your judgement?

And Buffy, a little rain never hurt. This is sissy stuff. After 3 feet of snow last year I'll go out and barbecue in this.

That poem wasn't rude! I thought it was perfectly respectable - a fitting tribute to the queen of the GBB 2nd Half ESPN Fantasy Baseball game! That is, if you don't take into account the first letter of every line!

Better, Bethie??

By the way,
I prefer "Princess".
Truth be told, I feel it
Embodies the true "me" better!

My shotglasses aren't the only assets I have- c'mon,
Even Bethie knows that!

You looking for my acceptance? I'm the wrong chick to ask. If you paid up on a bet to me and insulted me in the process I'd be writing my own poem. But don't know how much would be printable. Hell, you people can only spell "biatch" and "bastid". I don't think my sick sense of humor would work here.

But you wouldn't do that to me, right, Doucheman? After all, you didn't go to college to get stupid did you?

No, I wouldn't do that to you Bethie. Actually, I want to see you write a poem just to see how many words rhyme with "biatch" and "bastid"!

No, I didn't go to U of C to get stupid. I felt stupid sometimes, but I didn't go to get stupid! :p

Here's Doucheman's poem.

Sorry Satan, no bizzness today to talk about.

Yes, Doucheman is a poet, for Shizzle.
Our board without him would fizzle.

Did he ask me to write him a poem?
Oh yes, but nothing do I owe him.
Under distress I might call him a bastid.
Cute as he is, that could be a hazard.
How could I, he never called me a biatch
Even though sometimes people feel like throwing Me in a ditch
And now my ode to our fearless leader must cease
Note this, loving note is from the "sexy beast".

That was great, Bethie, foh shizzle!

Wait, did you mean ditch or diatch?... Is "diatch" a word?

Oh... I just noticed something... You probably meant to put "Me in a ditch" on another line!

Regarding the poem from Beth to DB - what the hell is a DOUCHAN ?? Wasn't that from the song in the 80's 'Pass The Douchan' You know from Musical Youth - Pass the Douchan on the Left Hand Side, Pass the Douchan on the left hand side. :p

There's a freaking wrap around problem here. Look at Me, no the word in my poem, not me personally. It's like Wheel of Fortune. Give me an M.

And, no, I don't know that song. Must be before my time! :p
