I don't know about anyone else but I am at least near the top of the FANTASY FOOTBALL League

And after all isn't that what REALLY matters!

Christ, it is starting to sound like the school year is just ending around here. There are still days left and I'm looking to make up at least some ground in the next few days! I sure hope the players are not giving up when they play these games. Or are they?

My name needs no explanation. If you don't know what it is by seeing it we'll have to call you Helen Keller. You might not be in our league anyway.

Is the last game we play on Sunday?

wow, 6 months already? How time flies when you are having fun ...

Do you realize that most of us have been here in some way or form almost EVERY DAY since April? Even some that have been on vacation have peeked in or at least found some way to tweak a roster out while we were out.

So what do we love most...the game or competing against each other???

What do we do after Sunday? I lose my nice, comfortable, fun place to come to at 8:05 in the morning and will miss not seeing it at midnight before I turn in.

What will do during his 3 am pee break if he can't watch weather and crunch salary numbers?

What will I do at lunchtime now if there are no rosters to put together?

What will the Doucheman do at 1pm EST when there are no Cubbies to watch and commentate on?

What will Big Daddy do without his Wood to play with?

What will Pork do when he can't change people's names to reflect their performance..ie: Pussada and Sorryano.

What game is Bethie gonna quit now???

We play ESPN's postseason baseball game? I may not if it's gonna be as hands-off as last year, but we'll have to see what they offer. One of the few games I pay the fee for...

Regular season ends Sunday, 9/28. There are games that day so that will probably be our last day.

So what do we love most...the game or competing against each other???
Neither. I vote for the stimulator, I mean, the simulator!

What do we do after Sunday? I lose my nice, comfortable, fun place to come to at 8:05 in the morning and will miss not seeing it at midnight before I turn in.
You move into the fantasy football thread where guys avoid being beaten by "chicks".

What will do during his 3 am pee break if he can't watch weather and crunch salary numbers?
More time to look at porn!

What will I do at lunchtime now if there are no rosters to put together?
More time for http://www.erickarros.com

What will the Doucheman do at 1pm EST when there are no Cubbies to watch and commentate on?
Ponder the sad existence that is the Bears.

What will Big Daddy do without his Wood to play with?
Like he always says, he always has Wood to play with. By the way, one of these days, you'll go blind.

What will Pork do when he can't change people's names to reflect their performance..ie: Pussada and Sorryano.
It's alright. Pork will be focusing greatly on football so, you know, he won't forget to set his team. :p

What game is Bethie gonna quit now???
I don't know, but my first guess is Monopoly.

Here are the lyrics. Nobody knows the tune?

The Whiz Kids had won it,
Bobby Thomson had done it,
And Yogi read the comics all the while.
Rock 'n' roll was bein' born,
Marijuana we would scorn,
So down on the corner the National Pastime went on trial.

Chorus:
We're talkin' baseball (Kluzewski, Campanella),
Talkin' baseball (The Man and Bobby Feller),
The Scooter, The Barber and The Newk,
They knew 'em all from Boston to Dubuque,
Especially Willie, Mickey and The Duke.

Well Casey was winnin',
Hank Aaron was beginnin',
One Robby goin' out, one comin' in.
Kiner an' midget Gaedel,
The Thumper an' Mel Parnell,
An' Ike was the only one winnin' down in Washington.

Chorus
We're talkin' baseball (Kluzewski, Campanella),
Talkin' baseball (The Man and Bobby Feller),
The Scooter, The Barber and The Newk,
They knew 'em all from Boston to Dubuque,
Especially Willie, Mickey and The Duke.

Well now it's the eighties,
An' Brett is the greatest,
An' Bobby Bonds can play for everyone.
Rose is at the Vet,
Rusty again is a Met,
An' the great Alexander is pitchin' again in Washington.

Chorus:
I'm talkin' baseball (like Reggie, Quisenberry),
Talkin' baseball (Carew an' Gaylord Perry),
Seaver, Garvey, Schmidt an' Vida Blue,
If Cooperstown is callin' it's no fluke,
They'll be with Willie, Mickey an' The Duke.

Fade Out:
Willie, Mickey an' The Duke,..
(Say Hey! Say Hey! Say Hey!)
It was Willie, Mickey an' The Duke,..
(Say Hey! Say Hey! Say Hey!)
I'm talkin' Willie, Mickey an' The Duke,..
(Say Hey! Say Hey! Say Hey!)
Willie, Mickey an' The Duke,..
(Say Hey! Say Hey! Say Hey!)
Say Willie, Mickey an' The Duke,..
(Say Hey! Say Hey! Say Hey!)

:D You don't know how true that is. I have never won a Monopoly game in my life. I can't get passed "Get out of jail free". I had too much fun whooping pee law's butt this week. (Don't be going and putting a jinx on Shannon this week Satan. Even if he doesn't play Bad Daddy has already proven how I would still beat you). So Bad Daddy doens't need to have a minor stroke pondering the answer to this question. :p

Sorry plaw, can't say I know it. But with all those "Say hey" I felt like singing, "Hey, hey we're the Monkies".

There ya go. That can be our theme song. Ok, Mr. Multi Task Master. Come up with lyrics for our new jingle.

Here's the best I could do on short notice....

Hey hey we're all junkies
Fantasy Baseball's the game
Hey hey we're all junkies
And JG's the one we should blame

Hey hey we all play it
It's stupid but we don't care
Hey hey we're all junkies
But none of us will play it next year

Hey hey we disklike it
It's a game that's easy to hate
And that's true for Big Daddy
Even though he started ten days late

Hey hey we can't stand it
But we're all having some fun
We all know the basics
Except for young Father's Son

Hey hey it's disgusting
Many fine days it did spoil
Except for old O.A.
He's too busy with olive oil

Hey hey this murder
A game that's really unfair
Our poor consigliere
It caused him to lose all his hair

Hey hey I'm a winner
I'm proud and my name is P.L.
But my deal with the devil
Will cause me to wind up in hell

Hey hey, I'm H. Hagen
I'm playing, but not exactly
I'm doing so poorly
I may ADOPT new strategy

(More to follow, maybe)

I hate when the PS I choosen doesn't start the pitcher. I don't think those points should count and I get my second choice. Giants Suck.

Although looks like those with Seattle made the right choice - no hitter in 2 Innings. Damn Moyer has it going tonight - that was the team to take it appears. Can't see anything stopping him now.

Not counting OA and JJ because they aren't playing regularly, this appears to be the first time that the first seven of us has each chosen different pitching staffs. True??

Christ, I just looked at yesterdays game and noticed that LDV and I share seven dam players. No wonder I didn't make up any ground. Have you been looking at my team?
The Giants switch pitches on me which sucks the big one. Just because they have a lock on their divison I bet.

For get it, It is time for football anyway. Today is the first day of fall and FALL IS FOOTBALL!

That reminds me of Vegas Vacation when Randy Quaid is at Hoover Dam and after the guide tells him to obey the dam guide and not wander off the dam tour and that it is ok to take all the dam pictures he wants and asks if there are any dam questions, Randy asks where he can get a dam beer.

Did you ever think that it is YOU, FS, looking at MY team?

Ridiculous.

When the games started, I thought I was gonna do great: Soriass hit a homer, Grissom hit a homer, right off the bat. Soriass hits another, and I thought that's it - I'm making up some ground! Then, I saw PL (of course) also had him

Hey, I had Grissom and Hidalgo too! Are you too copying the coveted 5th place picks?
I couldn't tell you...but remember the time you swept with Texas????

Lima, right? That was my FIRST choice. I didn't want to spend the money on the Dodgers but when I am this desperate, I find comfort in those 2 words - BULL PEN.

Or a better two words - ERIC GAGNE.

If I remember correctly - Geoff went with Texas for the sweep during the period when he wanted play Dickey. And no matter how hard he tried he could not get Dickey to play - finally after about three days he finally got his Dickey. I think he won that day also - scored big. :p

Lima was the obvious pick - but KC along with Oakland and the Yankees and a few others are on my Do Not Pick PS staffs so I figured for what may be the last time and old time sake - I have Wood Today - and I am hoping I can take my Wood deep also.

OK so I believe I have stayed at about a 2nd grade maturity level with this post now.

Well, with 5 days left - I figured can't be too conservative... Then again, PS is very important - 30 pts is sure better than 4 pts, regardless of offense...

Ugh, had I not missed that one day. Maybe PL will need an asterik next to his #2

Looking back, you would have had the Cubs and negative numbers so you can not use that excuse!

By the way has anyone seen or heard from M4M in some time. Pop was asking and I didn't know what to say. Is he still with us? or has he?

M4M is still here. He posted on a thread yesterday. I gave him a pm a few weeks ago and he said all was well. Just laying low and mainly just reading. Your pop must like M4M or something to be thinking of him.
