I'll be there about 10 games late in the second half. Gives me something to talk about. Have I ever mentioned how I started 10 games late in the baseball league ?

Oh and Wuss this ..... :p

[/b][/quote]You know what commercial I just love, it's for a beer. Of course, I can't remember which one. When they have a lousy singer mimmicking things. It says, "here's to you, Mr. Too much cologne wearer". The guy sings, "every where a splish splash". Or the wrestling costume designer, when the back up singers sing, "knocking off heads". I can't get over it.

But the #1 commercial, these are better then the superbowl, for Miller Lite.

"I CAN'T TASTE MY BEER". I'm rolling just thinking about them.

OK I did. Seems you have 130 posts in a two week span, a Vercetti like pace, meaning you spend a lot of time on a computer.

And you are spending New Year's Eve with your parents.

And I'm a Wuss ???

Well boys and girls, let me be first to congratulate myself. After last week I was sure I was going down the crapper. 11 correct! Bizarre. Thanks for all of your support and well wishes. But I can share in a sweeter victory this morning. My uncle-in-law was one of 5 winners to split a Last Man Standing pool. First prize was 92,500 units. New Year's Eve will be a BIG party. Sunday he picked the Dolphins. How's that for a nail-biter. Good luck to everyone on their SuperBowl pools.

Only NCAA, and not to close. I usually do the March Madness thing and shoot the craps.

That is, I believe, 59 days from now, or February 25th.

I'll be counting down the days and waiting eagerly for your arrival.

Of course, you're welcome to start now if you like.

Mary Cas, I know I a bit late in this but wanted to say Congrats for winning the Pickem. I can only imagine the stories told of this during the holiday gatherings, the family must be so proud.

And just think in order to win you had to beat DS, who was the winner of Fantasy Baseball, well the second half, to be honest I forgot who won the first half and also PL. Who if I may quote from one of the earlier messages in this thread ...

And just let me say that I will be quite surprised if I don't do very well.

So when you consider those you had to beat in order to win - it must make this even sweeter. :p

I am somewhat surprised. Admittedly, I didn't have a very good year. But I still finished over .500, and that was good enough for third place in this league of amateurs.

Where did you finish BD? I didn't see your name on the leaderboard. Maybe I missed it. :p

Now, correct me if I'm wrong here. You'll be joining the Basketball League in 51 days, correct?

And, BTW, while I have you...Leave my buddy Valadius alone. Since my most valued and trusted friend FS has taken to calling him "Pee-Lawrence, Jr.", he and I have formed a special bond. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of driving to Chicago with him. DB invited us to stay at his place.

Oh, and did I mention that I think you're a wuss?

Ha - you don't have to look far to find me - right after you by only 1 point.

You got room for one more in that car .... DB is putting you guys up, wow I am sure he will go all out

Oh, :p and Wuss this ...

Thanks for the recognition Big DD. I owe my success to the pressure that pl and DS put on. Their relentless pursuit of prognostication perfection was perilously close to producing a victory (Helplessly Hoping). But alas, my prowess provided the picks that perched me atop the board of dubious distinction (or is that spelled dis-stink-shun.) Anyway, the last week picks were done in under 3 minutes and therein lies the secret of success. Adieu. See you in March Madness where I have been know to pick schools based on their color schemes and religious affiliation.
